Life is so Boring without Electricity!

Yes it is! Since we are still experiencing a Daily Rotational Brownout Schedule here in our city. I really feel so tired about this. According to the news, UNLESS it rains soon, the National Power Corp. (Napocor) would be forced to shut down the Agus and Pulangi systems depriving Mindanao of 53 percent of its installed power capacity.

Rainy season here starts in June so that means we will still experience power interruption until June? It's even getting worse since April and May is summer time here in the Philippines.

Here's our daily brownout schedule:

Monday - 1:00 pm - 6:00 pm
Tuesday - 8:00 am - 1:00 pm
Wednesday - 6:00 pm - 10:00 pm
Thursday/Friday/Saturday/ - rotating brownout time schedule as I had mentioned above.
Good thing every Sunday we don't have a brownout schedule since this is our Church Sunday Service and family day.

Life is indeed so boring without Electricity! Specially when the schedule is from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm, its so hot here in our place! Our sweat is pouring and we can't sleep since we can't turn on our aircon and electric fan. I really feel so pity looking at my daughter who is sweating all around her body. I just used a fan but still it can't help trigger the heat.

When the schedule is from 6:00pm to 10:00pm, its really dark around specially outside. We just light a candle to have some light. Good thing my hubby fixed our emergency light. But its still so boring! We have nothing to do. We just sit in and wait for the electricity to come back.

What's even worst? Our business is so affected! Since we have an internet cafe and of course we mainly use the electricity to run this business. Our primary household income is very much affected.

I also heard that there are some establishments here in our city who already pulled out some of their workers and others have deducted their salaries because of this power interruption schedule that greatly affects their business.

We need God's mercy and miracle for this and we are praying for the rain so we can have a stable electricity here in our city.
