Camiguin Island Officially Launches Its New Tourism Brand "Camiguin Isle Be There"
The province of Camiguin has officially launched its new tourism brand, "Camiguin Isle Be There"
The provincial government rolled out last Friday the new rebranding theme held at the Provincial Capitol Building to welcome tourists with a fresh start from the coronavirus pandemic.
Message from Camiguin Governor Xavier Jesus Romualdo
Governor Xavier Jesus Romualdo said the new tourism slogan is part of the provincial government's transformation and development plans, with communities and establishments cooperating for its success.
They have upgraded various tourists’ spots and destinations, and at the same time embraced digitalization and innovation.
On the same day, they also opened the new Arrival Terminal facility where visitors experience faster arrival process with the new scanning kiosks at Benoni Port.
With the said facility, all arriving tourists and residents will be thoroughly checked with the use of different scanner machines.
The provincial government urged new tourists to secure their ‘Clean Camiguin QR Code’ which can be accessed to www.cleancamiguinqr.com to enter their basic information, important documents, valid ID and vaccination card among others.
This also allows guests to purchase entrance tickets for tourist attractions online.
Unvaccinated tourists can visit the island provided that they present a negative Covid-19 test taken in the last two days from a Department of Health-accredited clinic or testing center.
Unvaccinated minors aged 11 and below are no longer requested for test results.
