  Mga higala! It's that time of the year when the Province of Bukidnon’s beloved and famous KAAMULAN FESTIVAL will be held again this March 23 to April 23, 2023! Usually held in Malaybalay City from the last week of March to about mid-April, Kaamulan Festival is an ethnic festival highlighting the indigenous culture of Bukidnon, and honoring the custom and traditions of the seven (7) original tribal groups in the province namely - the Bukidnon, Higaonon, Talaandig, Manobo, Matigsalug, Tigwahanon and Umayamnon. This is the gathering of the 7 tribes to celebrate and for thanksgiving for a bountiful harvest. The festival name is from a Binukid term "amul" which means gather. Kaamulan Festival has become one of my favorite festivals in Mindanao. I am very much amazed with the colors, musical instruments used, the graceful movements of every performers during the street dancing, and the gigantic entries in the float parade. Our group, the CDO Bloggers were invited to attend the Commit to be Fit Event by Limketkai Center. It was a fun, entertaining and educational event. It is a Sports, Wellness and Beauty Exhibit where it showcases how to live a healthy life with tips and advice on health, nutrition, fitness and weight loss.  On the first day, it was a Meet and Greet event with Planet Sports Brand Ambassador Daniel Matsunaga. The said event was filled with screaming fans who eagerly wants to take a selfie with the handsome hunk actor.  of course I did not miss the chance to have a photo op with the handsome baby Daniel ^_^  Daniel also shares his secret on how develop and maintain his good physique and also shared his tips on how to live a healthy lifestyle.    On the second day, Nadine Tengco, a US-certified Fitness nutritionist was there for a cooking demo. She is the sought-after diet coach to the well known Filipino celebrities. She shared a lot of helpful tips and advice

Last May 16, 2015, I was invited to witness the Skim Boarding Competition dubbed as "Shore Breaks" which was hosted by Cagayan de Oro’s leading resort hotel, Apple Tree Resort and Hotel.   The competition was divided into two categories. The Kids category from 7 to 15 years old and adult category from 16 years old and above. All the skimmers showed off their skim boarding skills that ran from morning 7am until 6pm.  The event was created in order to promote the sport to Northern Mindanao and provides opportunities to the youth to actively engage in programs and activities which upholds the quality of life. Everyone has a calendar in their home. But unfortunately, in our case we don't have a recent 2011 calendar. Most of the calendars that we received before are freebies from the store where we purchased an item with. I'm just wondering why we did not get any calendar from our favorite stores this time. Are they frugal or thrifty enough in giving away their calendars? lol! We really need calendars here because it is a great help for our future planning and schedules.
